El Chapo’s Mercenaries Arrested a Mile Away From His Holding Site For Digging a Tunnel!!

Mexican drug lord Joaquín Archivaldo Guzmán Loera, known as “El Chapo” is being held in The Metropolitan Correctional Center in Lower Manhattan, awaiting to be transferred to a super max prison. The Metropolitan Correctional Center is home to some of New York’s highest-risk federal offenders and is described as being tougher than Guantánamo Bay.

Infamous for escaping from prison, El Chapo has done it again – well at least tried. Today, seven of El Chapo’s mercenaries we’re arrested roughly about a mile away for attempting to dig a tunnel towards the prison. The mercenaries were spotted by construction workers who were concerned about the suspicious activities. When authorities arrived very few of the mercenaries fled, but seven were detained. If convicted, the seven mercenaries can be charged with several felonies including Aiding an Escape from Correctional Institution or Jail.
